By attending a Long Dog Club event, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Personal Responsibility & Acknowledgement of Risk

You are responsible for your own dogs and their behaviour at all times. Your dog must be friendly and well-socialised. Aggressive or anti-social behaviour from dogs or humans will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event. Please be familiar with understanding dog behaviour and cues to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

If your dog is causing an issue for another dog or attendee, you must take immediate action to resolve the situation. Your dog must be supervised and under your control at all times. Leaving your dog unattended is strictly prohibited. Owners must adhere to all local laws and regulations regarding pet ownership, including that greyhounds must remain on a leash at all times in public spaces, as required by Victorian law.

By attending, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with dogs interacting in a social environment. You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by your dog and agree to provide your contact details in the event of an incident. The organisers of Long Dog Club events are not liable for any injury, damages, loss, or harm that may occur.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in removal from the event and potential permanent exclusion from future Long Dog Club events.

Health & Wellbeing

It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog is registered, up to date with vaccinations, in good health, and free from illness.

Dogs that are not de-sexed or those displaying inappropriate behaviour (such as mounting other dogs) may be asked to leave. Female dogs in heat are not permitted.

Cleanliness & Environment

Owners must clean up after their dog and themselves at all times. All waste must be disposed of in designated bins. Littering is strictly prohibited. Digging or other destructive behaviour by dogs is not permitted.

Photography & Media Consent

By attending this event, you grant Long Dog Club permission to take photographs and videos of your dog for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes. These images and videos may be used in, but are not limited to: social media posts, advertisements, website content, and printed materials.

While such content focuses on the dogs and is not designed to prominently feature you, you acknowledge and agree that you may also be seen in images and videos. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you can contact us and we will do our best to censor you from any posts. Please know that we cannot guarantee that photos and videos will not be taken by other attendees.

Mailing List & Marketing Consent

By attending a Long Dog Club event, you consent to being added to our mailing list and receiving communications regarding future events, promotions, and updates. You can review our privacy policy here and may opt out at any time.

We’re an Anti-racing Greyhound Club

Please note, this is a safe space for rescue greyhounds and their owners. This is not a space for pro-racing discussions or any anti-social behaviour. Long Dog Club supports greyhound welfare and is firmly opposed to the suffering of animals caused by the racing industry.

We appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees and their dogs. Thank you for being part of Long Dog Club! If you wish to contact the organisers of Long Dog Club, you can do so by visiting our Contact page.
